James Club Antigua – Caribbean Holidays Article #4 – St. James Club

The staff at St. James Club Antigua is always courteous and helpful. This is common in hotels: Antigua residents know how to make your vacation special. Check in at this Antigua resort is a breeze – this can be a blessing if you arrive late at night and you’re dead tired.

One of the nice things about St. James Club is, you get a choice of two beaches with completely different characteristics. One beach is on the Atlantic side, which is breezy with waves, and the other is on the Caribbean side, which is very calm.

The rooms aren’t luxurious by any stretch of the imagination, but don’t let that put you off: St. James Club Antigua has a great view from almost every corner. The rooms are clean and spacious, but they’re all you need to really enjoy a beach vacation. A word of warning about the beach club rooms: they’re made of wood and can be very noisy, especially if you have neighbors with kids.

The Royal Suites have all the facilities one would expect from a first-class hotel. The only noticeable differences between the Royal Suites and the Beach Club rooms are that the Royal Suite bathrooms are enormous, and the furnishings are of a slightly higher standard.

St. James Club Antigua is a verdant tropical playground, sitting on a private 100-acre estate boasting spectacular ocean views. The visiting yachts add a dash of glamour, and a friendly club-like atmosphere exists throughout. Besides the two beaches, there are four swimming pools and a kids’ club, in addition to various on-site activities to keep all age groups entertained.

Honeymooners love St. James Club Antigua, and the resort will give you a complimentary wedding if you stay a minimum of seven nights (restrictions apply). An optional all-inclusive plan is available, featuring all meals, theme dinners with entertainment, unlimited drinks by the glass, and non-motorized water sports.
